Ghirardelli Associates, Inc. is a full service construction management firm founded in 1999. Alice Ghirardelli, P.E., our C.E.O., has a strong background in transportation engineering; she began her career in 1985 as construction inspector for Caltrans District 4 and served as Resident Engineer for District 4 in San Francisco and Marin Counties from 1989-92. Randall Bruner, P.E. joined the firm in 2001 and is the firm’s President. Randall’s experience is heavy with bridge projects built to Caltrans standards. Since 1999, Ghirardelli Associates has provided construction management services to California cities, counties, self-help counties, regional transportation agencies, and Caltrans.
Ghirardelli Associates currently employs over 130 people. Focusing 100% on construction management, we have been providing services to clients throughout California for more than 19 years. Ghirardelli Associates has selectively assembled a staff of highly-qualified professionals and is prepared to provide the County of Placer with individuals with the experience, skillsets, and attitude required to manage its current and future contracts and projects. Our staff has extensive experience with structures, civil, and roadway construction, as well as stormwater, environmental, and cultural resource management per the requirements of a variety of governing agencies including, but not limited to, Department of Army Corps of Engineers, Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Placer County Air Pollution Control District, and U.S Forest Service.

Ghirardelli Associates was originally founded to provide construction management services. To this day, we focus 100% on the core business of construction engineering and management. Our Associates are full-time construction management professionals. It is because of this focus, we can assist our clients in every aspect of the construction phase of project delivery; and we excel at what we do.

We started this firm to provide the best construction management services to our clients, while providing a fun and interesting environment to grow and meet our personal and professional goals. Long term, we aim to sustain a healthy, profitable venture.
