A civil engineer by training and a software developer by passion.

I've always loved computers and am passionate about technology, about building great products, and about helping others succeed in whatever they are passionate about.

I feel like I'm making a difference by using my knowledge of technology to help my clients grow their businesses, serve more customers, and do all the amazing things they're already doing better. I enjoy building and establishing trust with clients and solving problems for them. Plus many of my clients have become good friends so now I'm doing what I love to do and working with friends!

Having a background in a seemingly unrelated field like civil engineering is a huge asset in the software field. The experience I gained working on large scale systems and real-world problems in my 8 years working as a civil engineer has been invaluable in the work that I do now in software.

I went in to Civil Engineering because my dad is a Civil Engineer and a long time business owner and the plan was that I would follow in his footsteps. While I went on to get my masters in environmental engineering my passion has always been computers. While pursuing my masters I was lucky that my advisor encouraged me to follow my passion. I got involved in an early-days GIS application for VDOT and that's what started me on the path that led me to where I am today.
