Our education collaborators are working on programs to implement the app in STEM classrooms and clubs for kids and teens nationally and around the world to learn about how engineering shapes our every day lives. Kids and teens in these programs will be invited to connect with engineers through the app so they can meet and interact with professionals in their fields of interest. Please contact us to learn more about the program and how you can participate.

I am...

a wife, mother, and civil engineer.

I chose to be a Civil Engineer because...

I love math, so I thought I'll go into engineering. But I also was really interested in renewable energy (e.g., solar energy and geothermal energy), so that's where I started. In college I had a professor who was into water resources and I fell in love with water resources and changed to it.

I like my job because...

I love my job because every day is different. I learn something new every day and I keep learning. My job is challenging and it keeps me very busy. I love being busy.

I want others to know...

It’s broad enough that you are able to get into any kind of niche that you want to get into. You're not going to do just this one thing and that's all you can do with your education. There's such a broad spectrum of what you can do as a civil engineer that you're bound to find something that you fall in love with.

My STEM education has helped me ...

I think that an engineering education really develops your discipline, critical thinking, and being able to organize. These skills are important in every aspect of your life.
