Our education collaborators are working on programs to implement the app in STEM classrooms and clubs for kids and teens nationally and around the world to learn about how engineering shapes our every day lives. Kids and teens in these programs will be invited to connect with engineers through the app so they can meet and interact with professionals in their fields of interest. Please contact us to learn more about the program and how you can participate.

I am...

a Senior Water Resources Civil Engineer Program Manager that started my collegiate experience expecting to be a court reporter. I didn’t even know what an engineer was back then as I grew up in a small town in Vermont in a blue collar family.

I chose to be a Civil Engineer, Entrepreneur because...

A job in the 80’s recession required me to understand corporate responsibility related to hazardous waste and chemical storage. Those challenges suddenly became much more interesting to me than any challenges I experienced in my existing role as a purchasing agent.

I like my job because...

I love having different challenges to solve and that I work with other people that care about people and the environment.

This is My Story

I get a kick out of people being surprised that I am an engineer; I don’t fit their vision. I’m a world traveler, certified yoga instructor, SCUBA diver, and pescatarian (vegetarian that eats fish occasionally). But I am also turning 50, love to garden, care for my home and family, volunteer on a national level for EWRI, and on a local level mentoring children or judging STEM projects. I graduated from UVM in 1997. At that time, there were a handful of women in my civil/environmental engineer class. I have worked in a variety of work environments and love the opportunity to work with young engineers. The young engineers I know are as diverse in their interests as I am. They are also caring and funny individuals. Our career is a great way to meet interesting people with diverse backgrounds. I welcome all to join us as we make the world a safer and healthier place to live.
