Hate potholes? Communities pay lots of money each year to repair potholes. This project is a new type of asphalt that can repair itself by heating it.
Who benefits from this project, and how?
Everyone benefits from fewer potholes - less damage to your car, smoother ride on your bike, and lots of money saved by not having to repair them.
Environmental considerations
The new asphalt could double the life of a road. That would save the material and energy needed to replace roadways.
